CheckVerifyNow ™ provides merchants access to national check databases that minimize losses by reducing the number of bad checks that you accept. Check verification is a low-cost service that verifies checks you might accept from a customer. Checks are verified against several databases through ECHO, a trusted third party partner. Our client base benefits from ECHO’s proprietary database, National Check Network(R) (NCN). NCN contains over 17 million negative records and 70 million positive records against which your check will be confirmed. If the account number corresponds to a problem account (an account where checks have bounced and not been repaid) you are notified through the system response. In addition, the check verification service through ECHO allows an option for accessing other third party databases, including Early Warning Services, providing a comprehensive risk management program for checks received in person or consumer not present transactions received over the telephone.
